Long Key Natural Area & Nature Center
Soak in the sunshine and take a walk on the wild side at Long Key Natural Area & Nature Center in Davie, a quick 30-minute drive west outside the hustle and bustle of Fort Lauderdale’s city limits. Long Key Nature Center is 164 acres of lush, protected greenery managed by the Broward County Parks and Recreation department. Long Key Natural Area is filled with the abundance of thriving Florida wildlife so keep your eyes open as you stroll through the walking trails with your loved one. Admire the diverse trees and plants, all present when the Tequesta and Seminoles inhabited the area many years ago. Walking through this beautiful, one-of-a-kind park is a great way to spend Valentine’s Day with your date, enjoying some much-needed alone time with them and feeling the February Florida sunshine we all enjoy.
Hollywood Beach Boardwalk
A quick trip down south from the Fort Lauderdale homeland lands you at the lovely historic Hollywood Beach Boardwalk. If you’re craving a beach setting without the mess of sand in between your toes, take your date out for some ice cream and a stroll down the paved boardwalk as you take in the ocean breeze.
